A wonderful continuation of the previous cliffhanger and you stop at what must be a break to commercial! Oh, blasted commercials. Although I am eager to learn more about Renn and Tankards, but that is a different story..!
There‘s so much tension here. Though I think he should’ve said what happened to the sister… Was it a betrayal? She was after all in love with a low class.
This was a joy to read. Also, I must mention how well you’ve introduced the piece. The small synopsis, and the explanation of of how these fragments are part of a larger narrative, is a tight bit of writing that must be appreciated!
I’ve started playing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and for the first time it hit me that you named a character Cloud. Is this an intentional connection?
Thanks Taegan. Really appreciate the comment. It was a tricky one to know how best to introduce things, whether too much or too little, but that's great to know it worked well for you. I think I'll try and stick with that format moving forward.
And hah, no, totally unintentional and I've been waiting to see whether anyone said anything re: Cloud 😅
I've never played any FF games and it's only recently that I learnt there was a character with that name!
I'm so behind on everything thanks to being sucked into revamping my process. I wanted to have some fun read time before I leap into the writing workshop I am doing. It was a new experience, binging a newsletter. V enjoyable! 😊
Did I already say: watching two people fall in love is a master class in rising tension and rising stakes? I can only guess that the ask, what Jisa is going to have to do, is HUGE...
Indeed, it was made of Mourvèdre grapes grown in Texas by 5th generation farmers. The Bingham Family Vineyards named it High Plains Sunset Rose after the beautiful pink sunsets in west Texas, and it has lovely, refreshing notes of strawberry and cranberry.
Sounds delicious. I've never been a huge rosé fan, but my tastebuds have been swayed by some equisite sampling at cellar doors in Victoria and Tasmania, especially in the hot summer months. If I ever spot a bottle anywhere here, I'll be sure to give it a taste.

Commercial break has hit, yes. Might be a slightly extended commercial break, as there are tankards to fill ...

You're deep in the archives here!! 😆
I actually didn't realise you hadn't read these ones.
I really need to get back to this story. You'll find out (sort of) what happened in a later piece.
I kind of remember that. I had skipped some episodes… many it turns out. I was actually going to read Harry Potter but here we are 😜.
Aw thank you!! I feel honoured. 🤗
Right now, I like Precipice better.

Accidental Intertextuality! ;) Not a big FF player myself.
But---! Argh, what happens next??? 😊
Ah the suspense 😆
(PS Thanks for the big binge read you just did across a load of posts, Elnora. That was awesome!)

Thank you, Troy.
Needless to say, I'm very nervous about pulling off that ask, getting enough into and out of it to satisfy what I hope is a build up to it ... 😶😬
Well you have lots of time to think about it, I love what you are doing with both of these stories, they are like novellas-in-flash - Tally-ho!
I love that you love them!
Lovely! Did not have any Shiraz on hand, so had to do with a beguiling rosé instead, but it all still worked out.
Wonderful. Very pleased to know a rosé worked out just as well! A beguiling rosé nonetheless (what was it?). Thanks for reading, Renee.

I am devoted to this story. I look forward to it every time. Thank you for writing such a beautiful tale.
Thank you for writing such a lovely lovely comment, Olivia!
