Dreams are wild places that feel so natural at the time. It's a fascinating thing to analyse and difficult to capture. I'm glad you felt there was some sense of that here.
Unfortunately, this one is on the milder side of my usual dreams. For some reason, my brain rarely serves up a pleasant dream.
A pity, for your sake, that your dreams tend towards the darker side, but they are seeding some tasty imagery and vivid morsels for your audience. Nevertheless, if you do ever have any pleasant dreams to share, I am sure you would be able to craft something equally interesting to read.
I had a pleasant dream once. (I got the girl and everything.) “Oh no you don‘t”, thought my subconscious—and promptly dropped a nuclear bomb over the horizon. That was the end of that then.
Lol. The first two lines. Why am I not surprised?

That is perhaps the most chilling footnote I have ever read.
I love how you captured the jarringness of how dreams shift and how that shift feels natural in the dream.
But I also hope you have better dreams tonight! 😊
Haha, thanks.

I was very much tickled by that isolated “Again”.

The classic nuclear disaster ending. Tsk.
Well, if you write that one up then it could be a guest post...
It would not be worthy of a guest post, but I am belatedly in the process of turning this into a cheery poem. Stay tuned!
Very good. I look forward to it.
